Booking Terms & Conditions
By submitting our online booking form you are agreeing to book one of our wedding DJ packages on the date requested and to be bound by the following terms.
The DJ will arrive at the time agreed to set up. He will need at least 1 hour to set up, usually between 1-1.5 hours for the Bronze or Silver package and 1.5-3 hours for the Gold or Platinum. If you are running behind schedule and the dj is prevented from getting in to the room to set up please be aware he will still require the same amount of time to set up.
The DJ can not set up in the room whilst you are eating or doing your speeches. This is for health and safety reasons and also because it can be disruptive for you.
If he is setting up earlier in the day the dj will return at the agreed time to start the music for your evening.
Delivery time for hired goods will be arranged with you and confirmed in writing at the time of booking.
Playlists must be received at least 2 weeks prior to the event.
Non refundable and non transferable deposit to be made at time of booking by Paypal or bank transfer the remainder is due 2 weeks before your wedding by bank transfer to Santander – Party Dexx – 09-01-27 – 83586635 or by Paypal.
We will never sell or share your information with any third parties. We may contact you occasionally to make you aware of our offers, promotions or new services we think may be of interest to you. If at any time you would prefer not to hear from us again please let us know.
The DJ will change into the Party Dexx uniform consisting of smart shirt, black trousers and smart shoes, prior to your guests arriving.
Changes to your booking must be made in writing via email or post
Children must be kept away from all equipment at all times. The DJ does not accept responsibility for ensuring this, it’s up to you or your guests. It’s for their own safety.
We have public liability insurance and all our equipment is PAT tested. We will send copies of our certificates to your venue upon request.
We do not take responsibility for any medical conditions that may be triggered or worsened by our lighting effects. Although we do not use strobe lights, some of the lighting effects move and change colour rapidly. It is your responsibility to ensure this will not be a problem for yourselves or your guests.
The DJ is willing to take requests on the night from any of your guests, requested songs will be played but sometimes it is not possible to play them immediately. There may be some requests that are not appropriate to play because they are offensive or on your ‘do not play list’. These will not be played.
You may use our microphone for any announcements, speeches etc. Please inform the DJ at the beginning of the night if you wish to do so.
The DJ will announce your first dance– please ask your best man to advise him when you are ready.
Some venues have noise restrictions which limit the volume we can play at this can really affect the atmosphere of your disco. Please contact your venue to check if restrictions apply.
The DJ will stop playing at the agreed time, if you wish him to continue after this please advise him at least 15 minutes prior to the arranged finish time. An additional charge may apply. The DJ will not continue to play past the agreed time unless permission is given by the venue management.
Any heckling, abuse or violent behaviour towards the DJ by you, your guests or any third parties will not be tolerated and may result in instant cessation of your disco.
Party Dexx may film or photograph the disco, the event, you and your guests through out the evening. These photos and videos may be used on our promotional materials and website. If you are not happy for us to do this please let us know at the time of booking.
Cancellations – The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. If you cancel at least 90 days prior to your event then no further payment will be required and any amount paid over this will be refunded. If you cancel within 90 days of your event up until 30 days before your event you will be required to pay 50% of the full booking price (minus your deposit). If you cancel within 30 days of your event then the full balance will be due.
Cancellations must be made in writing via email or post. If you do not hear a response to your cancellation email/letter we have not received it – please call us.
In the case of staff illness please be advised that we do have back up DJ’s and staff that we can call on to cover.
In the unlikely event that we are unable to provide your disco or equipment we will do our best to find a replacement however if we are unable to do so we will issue a full refund.
Party Dexx reserve the right to change, update and replace our equipment as and when we see necessary. This is to ensure that all our equipment is in excellent condition and reliable for your event. If you’re booking far in advance this may mean the look of the disco may change slightly over time. But don’t worry, our new equipment will always be of an equal or higher standard.
All hire goods remain the absolute property of Party Dexx and the customer will not sell, offer to sell, assign charge, lend or otherwise deal with the products unless agreed otherwise with Party Dexx.
Equipment will not be taken to any venue other than the agreed wedding venue on page 1 of this booking form without written consent from Party Dexx.
Equipment will not be placed outside.
Any liquids spilled on the dance floors must be wiped up immediately. Failure to do so may result in damage to the floor and the client will be solely responsible for payment of repairs.
The Customer assumes complete responsibility for loss or damage to the hire products (Other than fair wear and tear) from the time the equipment is collected or delivered to the venue/premises, until it is collected. The charge will be the cost of replacing the equipment with new stock or repairing it to as new condition.
When hiring any of our items you will be asked to provide a credit or debit card to be held on file. Any missing/damaged items will be charged to this card at replacement or repair cost. Your details will be stored in our secure and encypted pc based software and deleted from your file as soon as the items are returned complete and undamaged or after payment has been taken. If you later find a missing item and are able to send it back in it’s original condition we will be happy to refund you.
Customer satisfaction is very important to us so if you are unhappy with the service we have provided in any way, please email us. All complaints are to be made in writing.
We strongly recommend that you contact us before processing your booking online to confirm that we do have a DJ and the package you would like is available. If you complete the form without checking availability first we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accept your booking.
Money Back Guarantee
The DJ will play the music you have requested on your music request sheet. When you write your playlist you will be asked to mark the songs that are important to you and that you definitely want playing with an asterisk. The dj will play all songs marked as important. Songs that are not marked may not be played if the dj knows them to be ‘floor killers’. In the event that the dj does not play all the songs marked as important Party Dexx will refund you £8 per 10 songs (on a pro rata basis).
Refunds will not be given if –
• You do not mark the songs correctly on the music playlist
• The song/s in question contained inappropriate or offensive language
• The event organiser requests one of the songs not to be played on the night
This guarantee is in place to protect you and to ensure you receive a high level of service.
